Tokyo Midtown annually celebrates Kodomo no Hi (Children's Day) and Golden Week, a series of four holidays spaced closely together. In Japan, it is a time to celebrate children's happiness and succes, as well as a chance for relaxation and quality family time. The gallery displays original koinobori (carp streamers) designs created by artists from around the world.
"Among the Stars" celebrates early human navigation across the ocean using only the stars, waves, and mother nature. Hokuleia sails proudly, leading a resurgence or Hawaiian culture through wayfinding, while Sugime has provided great insight into ancient Japanese navigation from nearly 30,000 years ago.
