ROOTED: Mana o le Tatau is a proposed exhibition for the Honolulu Museum of Art. This exhibition celebrates the tatau, a sacred Samoan art form of tattooing. While many have adopted tattooing as a decorative form, le tatau serve as powerful symbols of identity, pride, and status. They stand as the marks of Polynesia, able to be recognized from anywhere around the world. No matter how far from home they are, le tatau will always remind those of their roots.
A complete invitation set was designed including a save-the-date card, main invitation, envelope, RSVP card, and event badges.
